First Tracks on Snowshoe Trail

Every trail has its first steps and Wednesday (6/16/21) we marked those in orange.

Joining me on this trail scouting trip was Elaine Hendrickson: an avid hiker, skier, cyclist, snowshoer', and Maine outdoors person. The goal is to create a trail that reaches the far side of the terrain park and descends back toward BigRocks sub-development. The importance of multiple switchbacks could not be stressed highly enough. Ascending in snowshoes can prove difficult and this trail needs to be accessible to even the newest of shoers. Each pass through this developing trail system will better concertize its route, we can't wait to see our guests out enjoying the trail this coming winter.
