BIG MOUNTAIN FEEL.

This Mountain Skis Bigger Than It Looks

Big Rock rises above the farmland of Aroostook County with 980 feet of vertical, a summit quad, natural-feeling glades, race terrain, night skiing and modern snowmaking.

The footprint is compact enough to lap efficiently, but the pitch, terrain variety and woods keep strong skiers engaged while still giving beginners room to progress.

On the right snow day, Big Rock delivers the kind of turns people remember long after the lifts stop spinning.

That mix of real terrain and a personal, local feel is what makes the mountain different.

The Terrain

Big Rock offers terrain for everyone, from first-time skiers learning their first turns to experienced skiers looking for steeper and more challenging terrain.

Our mountain is predominantly intermediate terrain, making Big Rock an ideal place to build confidence and progress. Beginner areas provide a comfortable environment for learning, while advanced terrain gives experienced skiers room to explore.

Whether you’re riding the lift for the first time or chasing your next personal best, there’s always another trail to discover.

The Lifts

Big Rock’s lift system has recently been upgraded to make getting around the mountain easier and more reliable.

Our new Sunrise Quad provides top-to-bottom access and brings four passengers to the summit at a time. The lift increases uphill capacity and reduces ride time, giving guests more time to ski and ride.

Big Rock also operates the Apollo Triple, along with our Space Shuttle Carpet and Mercury Handle Tow, providing dedicated access for beginners and developing skiers.
